NVMA PAC

Say YES to the future of Veterinary Medicine in Nevada
by supporting the NVMA's Political Action Committee

How does the NVMA PAC serve you?

Legislative advocacy is one of the most important benefits that you receive as an NVMA member. No other veterinary organization is working to protect veterinary medicine at the state level.

The NVMA is the only veterinary organization in Nevada that advocates for the profession statewide. Working with the government on legislative issues and representing veterinarians at the State Capitol is essential to the advancement of our profession.

It is extremely important that the veterinary profession has an impact on public policy and awareness on animal health and welfare, zoonotic diseases and small business issues. As veterinarians we speak more effectively when we speak collectively. One very effective way in which to ensure that our voice is heard is to support the Nevada Veterinary Medical Association's Political Action Committee.

An active NVMA PAC gives us:

  • Political credibility
  • Access to relationship building
  • Opportunities to elect candidates who understand veterinary, animal and small business issues

Are you concerned about:

  • Scope of practice issues
  • Animal and public health
  • Animal welfare
  • Licensure issues
  • Taxes on veterinary services and other business issues
  • Pharmacy laws
  • Encroachment of animal rights groups dictating the practice of veterinary medicine
  • Non-economic damages
  • Ownership vs. guardianship
  • Veterinary education
  • Agricultural issues

Invest in your future.  Invest in your profession.  Invest in the NVMA PAC.

The NVMA PAC supports candidates for office in the Nevada State Legislature who will be supportive of veterinary issues.

Your annual $25 contribution allows the NVMA PAC to continue to successfully advocate for veterinarians, veterinary medicine and animal health and welfare in Nevada.
